Electric trikes have become a popular mobility option for seniors, individuals with balance challenges, or anyone seeking stability and convenience on three wheels. Meet One Trike, a startup known for its innovative designs, recently unveiled its latest offering, the Tour e-trike, following the launch of its folding Breeze model in October. The Tour takes things up a notch with dual-motor power, enhanced features, and an emphasis on accessibility.
Dual-motor performance for stability and power
At the heart of the Meet One Tour e-trike is a dual-motor system designed to boost performance and expand usability. A 750-W motor is positioned between the rear wheels, while another motor powers the front hub. Together, these motors deliver a peak output of 2,400 watts and an impressive 180 Nm (132.7 lb.ft) of torque. This setup allows the e-trike to reach a top speed of 25 mph (40 km/h), ensuring swift rides even on challenging terrains.
The Tour offers multiple operational modes, including single-motor operation, dual-drive modes, and throttle-only options. A cruise control feature adds convenience, while a Shimano 7-speed gearset enhances flexibility. Riders can also engage reverse mode for additional maneuverability.
Extended range and battery efficiency
Mounted on a durable 6061 aluminum frame are two 48-V/15-Ah Samsung batteries. Certified to UL 2271 safety standards, these batteries provide a combined 1,440 Wh of power, allowing the e-trike to cover up to 130 miles (209 km) on a single charge. This extended range makes the Tour suitable for long commutes or leisurely weekend rides.

Comfort and practicality at its core
Designed with rider comfort in mind, the Tour features an oversized padded seat with backrest support. A full suspension system, including a front fork and dual rear shocks, ensures smooth rides over uneven surfaces. Each of the 20-inch wheels is outfitted with 4-inch fat tires for excellent grip, whether on pavement or off-road trails.
Practicality is another highlight. The e-trike includes a rear cargo rack capable of hauling up to 150 lb (68 kg) and offers a total payload capacity of 550 lb (249.5 kg), accommodating both the rider and their belongings.

Safety and additional features
Safety features include hydraulic disc brakes on all three wheels, each equipped with 180-mm rotors. A parking brake and speed differential improve handling and stability. The e-trike also includes a LED headlight, rear braking lights with turn signals, and rear-view mirrors for enhanced visibility. Full fenders, a lined basket, and a lock round out the convenience features.

Pricing and availability
The Meet One Tour e-trike is currently priced at $3,299, reflecting a $300 discount from its list price of $3,599. Optional add-ons include a spare battery and a Bluetooth tracker. For those seeking a more affordable option, Meet One’s single-motor Breeze model is available for $1,299.
