Honda has brought one of Pokémon’s iconic creatures into the real world with the unveiling of the Honda Pokémon Koraidon motorcycle. Developed under the Honda Koraidon Project in collaboration with The Pokémon Company, the motorcycle features moving hands, feet, eyes, and a face that animates while in motion. The life-sized model was displayed at Honda Welcome Plaza Aoyama in Tokyo, Japan, from March 7th to 9th, 2025, giving fans a chance to see the design up close.
A motorcycle with animated features
Inspired by Koraidon from Pokémon Scarlet (2022), Honda’s design team aimed to replicate the creature’s unique features and movement. The company states that the model remains true to Koraidon’s weight and size while incorporating animated components. The hands, feet, neck, face, eyes, and eyelids move dynamically as the motorcycle rides, making it appear as if the Pokémon itself is traveling alongside its rider.
According to Honda, their goal was to make the motorcycle feel like a real-life version of Koraidon, saying they worked on the details so that both viewers and riders would feel as though they were meeting the Pokémon in person.
Balance control technology from Honda
Beyond its animated design, the Honda Pokémon Koraidon motorcycle features Honda’s Riding Assist technology, which was first introduced at CES 2017. This system enables the motorcycle to stay upright on its own without requiring a kickstand. If a rider briefly lets go of the handlebars (though not advised), the vehicle can still maintain its balance.

This balance control technology aligns with the character’s in-game abilities. In Pokémon Scarlet, Koraidon serves as a companion that adapts to different terrains and transforms into a rideable form. Honda has translated this concept into a functional two-wheeler, merging elements of gaming and real-world mobility.
Future possibilities and availability
As of now, Honda has not disclosed any details about the motorcycle’s specifications or whether it will become available for purchase. The Honda Pokémon Koraidon motorcycle remains a concept model, serving as a unique tribute to the Pokémon franchise. Fans who attended the limited showcase in Tokyo had the rare opportunity to witness the design firsthand. Whether this project leads to a commercial release or remains a one-time concept, it marks an intriguing blend of pop culture and vehicle innovation.
