Cargo ebikes are rapidly becoming a practical alternative to cars for everyday errands like grocery shopping and school runs. But stability—especially at low speeds or when parked—remains a common pain point. That’s where the Tarran T1 Pro steps in, offering a tech-forward solution with its auto-deploying landing gear system that stabilizes the bike when braking or riding slowly.
Launch and features
Originally introduced at Eurobike 2024 in Frankfurt, the Tarran T1 Pro is a front-loading cargo ebike designed with city utility in mind. Its standout feature is the Dynamic Dualdrive landing gear, housed below the EPP (expanded polypropylene) cargo box. Each stabilizer has its own motor and suspension, automatically deploying when the bike slows down or brakes to prevent tipping. The system also works manually for extra support while pushing or parking and doubles as a kickstand when stationary.
Construction and powertrain
The T1 Pro is built on a monocoque aluminum frame with front suspension and a shock absorber between the rear wheel and the cargo bay. It supports a total payload of up to 220 kg, including 65 kg in the front cargo box, 100 kg rider weight, 25 kg on the rear MIK-compatible rack, and an additional 30 kg on optional front-mounted accessories or handlebar cargo racks. The cargo bay can accommodate two children up to 126 cm tall or three Euroboxes.
The bike is powered by a 250 W mid-drive motor delivering a peak torque of 100 Nm, paired with a Gates Carbon belt drive and Enviolo stepless shifting hub. It complies with EU standards with a top pedal-assist speed of 25 km/h (15.5 mph).

Battery and range
The T1 Pro comes with a 708 Wh removable battery hidden beneath the cargo bay, offering around 100 km of range on Eco mode. A second battery slot is available, doubling the range to 200 km, though real-world usage may vary based on terrain, load, and assist level. The battery system is IPX6 water-resistant, and Tarran claims durability testing up to 30,000 km of simulated riding.
Technology and connectivity
Tarran has integrated a full smart suite into the bike. At its center is a 5.2-inch TarranOS color touchscreen, powered by a quad-core processor and offering Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 4G connectivity. It displays navigation, live camera feeds, and trip data. Riders get three cameras (front wide-angle, head-tube, and rear), millimeter-wave radar to detect approaching vehicles, and haptic handlebar alerts for safety.

A Sentry Mode adds theft protection via motion detection, GPS tracking, remote locking, and alarm activation, with footage streamed directly to your device. Other features include Qi 2.0 wireless phone charging, two USB ports, and onboard Bluetooth speakers.
Lighting and visibility
The T1 Pro features a dual-beam LED headlight system, a rear brake light, turn signals, and a strip light at the front for visibility in traffic. It rolls on 20-inch wheels and uses 180-mm hydraulic disc brakes for dependable stopping power.
The waterproof cargo lid is lockable, and the box can be fitted with a rain cover and five-point harness child seating for families.

Availability and pricing
The Tarran T1 Pro is now available for pre-order in Europe, priced at €6,500–6,999, depending on configuration. Shipping is expected to begin late June 2025. Tarran operates out of Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Düsseldorf, with local sales and support available in the EU.
