Every computer user loses an estimated 10 seconds per 5 minutes in the process of toggling between tabs. If users could have access to multiple computer displays, their productivity could increase by 20-30%. Unfortunately, most multiple screen technologies focus on desktop users, neglecting the overwhelming number of laptop users that need such a feature on the go.
Mobile Pixels stepped in to fill the void with DUEX (formerly Duo), the portable dual-screen laptop accessory that allows for efficient multitasking. Following a hugely successful crowdfunding campaign and an amazing market reception, the company decided to go a step further with the TRIO. TRIO is essentially an upgraded version of DUEX that gives users even more freedom to multitask, while still being just as compact and lightweight.
Design and features
TRIO is a plug-and-play, mobile multiple monitor setup solution with triple screen capabilities. Just like its predecessor, TRIO is designed to magnetize to the back of any laptop. The extra screen is useful for coders, gamers, working professionals, stock traders, and any laptop user that needs to multitask on the go. TRIO is designed to be extra compact and lightweight; your laptop and the addition would still fit into your regular laptop bag.
TRIO has an energy-star rating that assures you the device is energy efficient. You do not need to worry about how much it will drain your laptop battery. It’s specially designed for users that need multiple screens on-the-go. Rest assured, it consumes minimal energy.
TRIO can be attached to all laptops and it works across all operating systems. All you have to do is place the magnetic adhesives on your laptop and TRIO sticks effortlessly. To make use of TRIO, simply download the driver and plug in the USB. TRIO also comes in two sizes – 12.5” and 14”, to cater for all laptop users.
Triple screen capabilities
You have the option of either using your TRIO as a DUEX or as a proper TRIO with triple screen capabilities. To have extended screens on both sides of your laptop, simply use Mobile Pixel’s patent-pending clips to safely secure both TRIO screens to the back of your device and pull out the screens on either side of your laptop.
Landscape or portrait mode
TRIO’s versatility gives users the option of using it in the regular landscape or portrait modes. In the portrait mode, you’ll be using only one of your TRIOs and it’ll act as a standalone screen. You may also use the other TRIO as a dual-screen monitor while using TRIO as a standalone screen.
TRIO’s full 270 degrees rotation affords the freedom to choose your optimum viewing angle. If you’re making use of two TRIOs, you can fold them into a triangle to achieve the optimal conferencing mode.
TRIO is currently at the crowdfunding stage. The ongoing Kickstarter campaign has been a huge success with the project already about 1000% funded with 28 days to go. You can check the campaign page for the available pledges and rewards.
