Reversing a large trailer into a narrow garage, storage bay or side yard can test a driver. The tow vehicle adds length, mirrors restrict the view and small steering inputs can send the trailer in the wrong direction.
The Parkit360 Carrier 13K approaches the job differently. It is a battery-powered trailer dolly that connects beneath the trailer’s coupler and lets the operator maneuver the load from outside using a wireless controller. Instead of looking backward through mirrors, the user can walk to the side with the least clearance and watch the trailer move directly.
Built for low-speed positioning rather than road towing, the compact machine is intended for travel trailers, boats, enclosed cargo trailers and other towable equipment weighing up to 13,000 lb.
A compact machine for very large trailers
The Carrier 13K sits low to the ground on six wheels, arranged as three on each side, with a vertical hitch connection rising from the center of its powder-coated steel body. It measures approximately 46 inches long, 43 inches wide and 15 inches high (117 × 109 × 38 cm).
Its maximum trailer rating is 13,000 lb (5,897 kg) GVWR, accompanied by a maximum tongue weight of 1,300 lb (590 kg). Both limits matter. GVWR is the trailer’s maximum permitted loaded weight—not its empty or dry weight—while tongue weight is the downward load applied to the dolly at the hitch.
A trailer may fall below the capacity when empty but exceed it after water, fuel, tools and cargo are added. Owners should check its identification plate and actual loading rather than relying solely on a dry-weight figure.

The Drop & Go hitch connection
Connecting the Carrier is broadly similar to placing a trailer on a conventional tow ball. The operator selects the appropriate adapter height, drives the dolly beneath the coupler and lowers the trailer until the coupler sits on the ball. The coupler’s locking pin must then be installed, the seven-way electrical cable connected and the trailer jack raised before movement begins.
Parkit360 supplies both 2-inch and 2 5/16-inch hitch balls. The Drop & Go adapter can be positioned at connection heights of approximately 19, 21.5 or 25.5 inches, while the dolly’s receiver tube is 15 inches high. Measuring the coupler at its working height is important, particularly for trailers with lifted suspension or unusually low frames.
Optional connections include a pintle-hitch adapter and a telescopic frame adapter for applications that cannot use the standard ball-coupler arrangement. Compatibility should be confirmed with Parkit360 when a trailer has an unconventional jack, frame or braking system.

Two joysticks control the drive wheels independently
The handheld controller gives the operator variable-speed command of the dolly’s two drive sides. Moving both joysticks together drives forward or backward; varying their positions turns the dolly or rotates it within a very small area.
This differential steering lets the Carrier place a trailer hitch-first, negotiate tight corners and make precise corrections. The walking operator can also change position and inspect clearances from several angles.
Two speed modes are available. Low mode reaches up to 30 ft/min (9.1 m/min), while high mode doubles that to 60 ft/min (18.3 m/min). The maximum is only around 0.68 mph (1.1 km/h), emphasizing that the machine is designed for deliberate parking rather than rapid transport.
The USB-C rechargeable controller enters sleep mode after roughly one minute of inactivity. Its directional labels assume the operator is standing behind the dolly and facing the trailer.

A 110-Ah battery supplies the power
The dolly comes with a preinstalled Group 29 Interstate 12-volt, 110-Ah battery. It recharges from a 120-volt wall outlet through an onboard charging system, with a display showing charging current, voltage and approximate battery level. A separate voltmeter reports voltage while the dolly is operating.
Parkit360 does not publish a universal runtime. Practical endurance depends on trailer weight, gradient, surface resistance, temperature and battery condition.
For storage, the company recommends charging the battery every two months. A disconnect control helps prevent unnecessary drain.
The rated motor output is 1.7 hp. An overload-protection system shuts down movement if electrical demand becomes excessive; the power button then turns red and the operator must reset the system before continuing more cautiously.
The dolly communicates with the trailer’s brakes
Plugging the trailer’s seven-way cable into the Carrier activates its Smart Brake system. With compatible electric brakes, the trailer brakes are released while the dolly is moving and applied when the powered-on dolly stops. For boat trailers using surge brakes, the connection supplies an electronic reverse lockout so the brake mechanism does not oppose a deliberate reversing maneuver.
The system still depends on compatible, correctly functioning trailer wiring and brakes; it cannot compensate for faulty equipment.

Firm surfaces and modest slopes only
Parkit360 equips the Carrier with 12-inch semi-pneumatic tires and recommends using it on asphalt, concrete, firm grass and packed gravel. Loose gravel, mud, sand and soft or wet ground are unsuitable because the driven wheels may spin or sink before the motors reach their useful pulling capacity.
The stated slope limit changes with trailer weight. For a trailer weighing 10,000 lb or less, Parkit360 permits a grade of up to 6%. Above 10,000 lb, that falls to 4%.
Those figures are percentages, not degrees. A 4% grade rises four feet over 100 horizontal feet and equals about 2.3 degrees; 6% is approximately 3.4 degrees. Surface grip, moisture and load distribution can reduce the usable margin.
The staggered wheels can negotiate minor curbs and uneven transitions, but “multi-terrain” should not be read as off-road capability.

Portable control, but not a lightweight dolly
Although the Carrier removes the truck from the parking operation, the machine itself weighs 435 lb (197 kg). It cannot realistically be lifted into a vehicle or moved up steps by one person. Buyers need a suitable unloading method, a ground-level storage location and enough access to bring the unit between storage and the trailer.
Both motors can be placed in freespool mode, allowing the unloaded dolly to be repositioned manually. The motors must be returned fully to their engaged positions before powered operation.
The Carrier is most useful for repeatedly parking a boat, camper, cargo trailer or utility trailer in a constrained but prepared location. It is not designed for public-road towing, passengers or uncontrolled terrain.
Operators should keep people clear, inspect the route and avoid standing between the moving trailer and a wall. Wheel chocks should be ready when connecting or parking.
A Canadian trailer-parking specialist
Parkit360 says it began as a one-person garage operation in Carleton Place, Ontario, after its founder damaged a boat while maneuvering it into storage. The company now develops a family of manual and powered dollies, designed in-house and assembled in North America using domestic and imported components. It reports more than 15 years in business and over 25,000 customers.
Price, shipping, warranty and returns
The Carrier 13K is currently listed at $6,555 USD on Parkit360’s US website. The package includes the dolly, Drop & Go adapter, both hitch balls, preinstalled 110-Ah battery, wireless controller, USB-C controller cable, charging cable and battery-disconnect knob.
Free delivery is advertised within the mainland United States. Parkit360’s current shipping page lists five to eight business days for the Carrier to ship when inventory is available, but also advises customers to allow up to five weeks for delivery on new orders. A signature is normally required, and the company does not ship trailer dollies to PO boxes.
The standard warranty covers parts and repairs for two years for the original buyer. Covered replacement parts are supplied after remote troubleshooting. Wear, neglect, overloading, improper use or storage, modifications, cosmetic damage and second-hand ownership are excluded. The Interstate battery has a separate one-year warranty.
A 30-day return policy is available, but returning this 435-lb machine is expensive. Parkit360 currently deducts $600 for return shipping and a $225 restocking fee for the Carrier. International orders and independently purchased adapters or parts are not eligible, while purchases through dealers follow the dealer’s own policy.
A precise solution for a specific parking problem
The Carrier 13K is a specialized and substantial piece of equipment, but its purpose is easy to understand. It removes the tow vehicle from the most awkward part of trailer ownership and puts the operator where the visibility is best.
Its 13,000-lb rating, wireless differential control and integrated brake connection make it capable of handling trailers well beyond the range of small consumer dollies. The limits are equally important: firm ground, modest gradients, compatible brakes and a properly balanced trailer are essential.
For owners who regularly squeeze a large boat, camper or cargo trailer into a space a truck cannot comfortably access, that combination of power and close-range control could turn a stressful multi-person procedure into a far more manageable job.
