Germany’s Ca Go, a notable name in the cargo bike industry, has introduced the innovative CS range of cargo e-bikes. The standout feature of this range is the fusion of short-tail haulers and front loaders’ characteristics to create a compact and adaptable urban ride, capable of carrying up to 75 kg of goods or gear.
The CS range includes three models – the CS200, CS150, and CS100, all of which share several fundamental features. The premier offering is the CS200, priced at €6,490 (around US$7,130). The design of the CS200 revolves around an aluminium frame reinforced with a sturdy seat tube. The bike features double-cable steering for intuitive handling and a double-foot center kickstand for stability when parked.
The CS200 is designed to accommodate a wide range of rider heights, from 1.65 to 2 m (5.4 – 6.6 ft), courtesy of its adjustable seat height and handlebar stem. The low step-over further adds to the bike’s versatility. The footprint of the e-bike is 2,040 x 480 mm (80.3 x 18.9 in), making it an easy fit in standard cycle parking spots.
The cargo handling capability of the CS200 is impressive. Its large cargo area behind the front wheel can accommodate a 40 x 33 cm (15.75 x 13 in) crate or package up to 30 kg (66 lb) in weight. An additional cargo rack in front of the handlebar can handle 18 kg (39.6 lb), while a versatile rear rack can carry another 27 kg (59.5 lb), bringing the total per-trip hauling capacity to 75 kg (165.35 lb).

Ca Go chose the Bosch Cargo Line mid-drive motor for the CS200, providing 85 Nm (62.7 lb.ft) of torque and 400% pedal assistance up to 25 km/h (15.5 mph). The motor works in conjunction with a Gates Carbon Drive CDX Belt, an Enviolo variable shifting rear hub, and an automatic mode, allowing the rider to concentrate on the road while it manages power-level adjustments. It also features a hill-hold function to prevent roll back or forward movement.
The CS200’s motor is paired with a removable 545-Wh PowerPack, with an option to upgrade to a 725-Wh battery for extended range. The Bosch Smart System completes the package, with an LED remote and Kiox 300 display, and is compatible with mobile apps.
The CS200 rolls on 20-inch wheels shod in puncture-resistant Schwalbe Pick-Up Cargobike tires, and a Suntour suspension fork to handle uneven terrain. The bike employs Magura hydraulic disc brakes with 203-mm rotors for optimal stopping power. Additional features include Supernova lighting for enhanced visibility, an ABUS lock, and full fenders.

The other models in the CS range of cargo e-bikes, the CS150 and CS100, are priced at €5,990 and €5,590 respectively. The CS150 model replaces the Gates belt with a KMC e101 chain and doesn’t include the rear rack and the Bosch Kiox display. The CS100 model omits the Enviolo CVP hub but otherwise mirrors the CS150 in design and features.
