A keyring-sized tool from EDC brand TiMate is designed to keep several everyday repair and cutting functions inside a titanium body measuring just over two inches long.
Called the GripNGo Vault titanium EDC tool, it measures 52.5 mm (2.07 in) and weighs approximately 45 g (1.6 oz). Its housing is CNC-machined from Grade 5 titanium and can be attached to a keychain, backpack or other everyday-carry setup.
The central magazine contains six magnetic slots for 4-mm screwdriver bits. A separate magnetic socket holds the selected bit while it is being used, while a textured exterior provides additional grip. A mechanical push-slide lock is intended to stop the stored pieces from rattling or spilling out together.
The more unusual part is that two driver bits can be replaced with purpose-built modules. One is a small utility blade intended for jobs such as opening packages and cutting cord. The other is a metal-tipped “eternal pen” that marks paper, wood and walls without ink or refills.
This gives the compact titanium screwdriver and multitool a configurable layout: users can carry six driver bits or exchange two positions for the pen and blade. Eight optional tritium-vial slots can also provide a glow-in-the-dark marker, although the tritium inserts are accessories rather than standard illuminated components.
Two finishes are being offered: sandblasted titanium and black PVD. TiMate’s Kickstarter package is currently listed at US$45, compared with a planned retail price of $70. The listed package includes six precision bits along with the pen and blade modules. A 20-piece bit set is available as an optional add-on.
TiMate says worldwide shipping is planned for December 2026. As with any crowdfunding campaign, the price, delivery schedule and final product specifications remain subject to change, and backing the project is not the same as purchasing an already stocked retail item.
