The SeaNXT Elite stands apart from the growing crowd of consumer underwater scooters with its powerful propulsion, luxury-grade materials, and built-in navigation tools. Designed and manufactured in France by SeaNXT, the Elite is not aimed at the average pool user but at divers and underwater explorers looking for higher speeds and longer operational range.
Where many consumer-grade underwater scooters top out at around 5 km/h (3 mph)—just fast enough to match a brisk swimming pace—the Elite delivers a top speed of 21 km/h (13 mph), placing it in a category closer to personal watercraft than swim aid. This is made possible by its dual 2-kilowatt electric motors, which collectively produce up to 700 Newtons (157 lb-ft) of thrust.
The power system is supported by a 48V lithium-ion battery, offering about 40 minutes of runtime at top speed and up to 80 minutes in Eco mode, which is one of four selectable speed settings. A full charge takes roughly 1.5 hours. Runtime details and other critical data are accessible via a 5.5-inch LCD screen positioned at the center of the scooter. The display shows battery level, depth, current speed, and geographic position.
Unlike many scooters that rely solely on user orientation, the Elite incorporates GPS tracking for surface-level navigation. Once underwater and beyond satellite reach, the onboard navigation system continues tracking based on speed and direction, allowing the scooter to estimate its position in real time—useful for divers exploring unfamiliar or expansive marine environments.

In terms of build, SeaNXT opted for a carbon fiber body to keep the weight reasonable while maximizing durability and hydrodynamics. The Elite measures 98 cm in length, 50 cm in width, and 28 cm in height (approximately 38.6 x 19.7 x 11 inches). At 23 kg (51 lb), it is not lightweight, but the design maintains slight positive buoyancy—ensuring it floats to the surface if released.

Its maximum operational depth is 40 meters (131 feet), aligning it with recreational scuba diving limits. This makes it suitable for advanced divers looking to explore reef systems, underwater caves, or larger wrecks at significant depths.

However, this performance comes at a cost. The SeaNXT Elite is priced from €10,825 (approximately $12,655 USD), depending on country-specific taxes and import duties. The price includes an aluminum transport case, but all other accessories and, notably, your diving environment, must be arranged separately.

Overall, while the SeaNXT Elite is not targeted at casual snorkelers or pool users, it offers serious underwater capability for those willing to invest in speed, durability, and navigation precision in a high-end package.
