There’s a part of every electrical and plumbing installation that doesn’t get much attention — the moment after you’ve cut a chase into a wall and need to hold wires or pipes in place before plastering over them. It’s tedious, often requires multiple clip sizes, and eats up time on the job. A small Danish company called DuoClips thinks it has a better answer.
One clip that does it all
The idea behind DuoClips is straightforward: instead of carrying several different clip sizes for different groove widths, you carry one. The company’s groove clip is designed to fit wall chases anywhere from 22 mm to 50 mm wide, which covers virtually every standard chase size used in residential and commercial installations for both electrical cables and pipes.
The way it works is clever. The clip has a dual-function design that lets you rotate or flip it to either side, giving it a secure fit at both the narrow and wider ends of that 22–50 mm range. No force-fitting, no swapping out for a different size — just rotate it and press it in with a pair of needle-nose pliers.
No nails. No screws. No glue. No plaster. Just the clip and a set of pliers most tradespeople already have in their tool bag.

As DuoClips puts it: “Where most competitors offer several different types of chase clips depending on the width of the chase, DuoClips do it all with one solution.”
Built in Denmark from recycled plastic
DuoClips are made by DuoClips ApS, based in Rødovre, Denmark, just outside Copenhagen. The clips are manufactured from recycled and recyclable polypropylene (PP) plastic, and the company has also highlighted the environmental impact of that material choice.
According to DuoClips, producing the clips from recycled PP plastic reduces CO2 emissions by 257% compared to using new PP plastic, and by 694% compared to new POM plastic — a material commonly used in competing products.
The clips are also reusable, so if a job changes or a chase needs to be redone, they can simply be removed and used again.
Material choice aside, the clips are designed to handle common construction conditions. They work with brick, concrete, and aerated concrete walls, covering most surfaces electricians and contractors deal with on-site. The patent-pending design is developed and manufactured locally in Denmark rather than being outsourced.
Practical for the job site
For anyone who does this kind of work regularly, the biggest advantage may simply be convenience and speed. Carrying one clip size instead of three or four means less inventory to manage, less risk of running out of the right size mid-installation, and a faster overall workflow.

DuoClips says the system saves meaningful working time compared to traditional nail- or screw-based methods, and on a professional job site, saved time translates directly into lower labor costs.
The clips come in bags of 100, packaged in resealable ziplock bags that help keep everything organized and easy to access on-site. Each bag is intended to cover a substantial amount of installation work.
They’re suitable for securing electrical wires, cables, standard pipes, and PEX pipes, making them useful for both electricians and plumbers rather than serving as a niche product for a single trade.
